THE DESIGN

Designing stunning facades has never been more inspiring. The challenges of achieving a flawless surface and high performance are now a thing of the past.
This versatile system perfectly balances architectural creativity with engineering precision — protecting interiors from the elements while letting natural light enhance every space.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL
  • Large Grids

The system’s capability to form large-scale grids with multiple mullion–transom connection options offers exceptional flexibility for architectural design and construction. This enables efficient load distribution and tailored structural configurations to meet specific project demands. By employing a range of connection methods, designers can achieve both enhanced stability and refined visual harmony within the grid framework — even on spans exceeding several feet in width or height.

  • Same Level Appearance and Shade

Achieving a flush, uniform surface creates a sleek and cohesive aesthetic that elevates the overall visual impact of the façade. Conversely, incorporating subtle depth or shade variations introduces dynamic lighting effects and enhances interior comfort. These design options allow architects to fine-tune both function and appearance, tailoring each space to meet specific visual and performance goals.

  • 3-Level Drainage System

The integrated three-level drainage system ensures reliable water management throughout the façade. Each tier efficiently channels moisture away — from the outer surface to the internal framework — preventing water accumulation and protecting structural integrity. This multi-stage design enhances durability, performance, and long-term resistance against the elements.

  • T-Cleat Connector

The mullion–transom joint featuring a T-cleat connector provides a quick, efficient, and cost-effective method for securely positioning transoms on columns. This connection system simplifies installation while maintaining structural stability. A specialized foam gasket can be applied to absorb thermal expansion and contraction, ensuring the frame’s inner surface remains unaffected. By combining practicality with refined design, this solution is ideal for a wide range of construction and façade applications.

  • U-Cleat Connector

The mullion–transom connection using a U-cleat connector provides a reliable and time-tested solution, ensuring long-term stability and durability across diverse construction applications. An optional polyamide end cap can be added to conceal minor imperfections at the joint, creating a refined and seamless finish. This system perfectly merges functionality with aesthetics, delivering both structural integrity and a polished architectural appearance.

  • Pressure Plate’s Divided Gasket

The specially engineered 5 mm gasket features a partially cut section at the assembly point, designed to optimize drainage and ventilation performance. This detail plays a crucial role in maintaining the structure’s efficiency and safety, ensuring controlled air circulation and effective water management throughout the façade system.

  • Mullion’s Divided Gaskets

The precisely engineered gaskets, partially cut at the junction with the transom, are designed to maintain complete sealing continuity. This configuration prevents potential leaks and reinforces the overall integrity of the façade system, ensuring long-lasting, secure, and efficient connections.

  • Mullion’s Connection

A specialized sealing accessory at the mullion connection point plays a vital role in efficient water management. It enables controlled water transfer between mullions, enhancing waterproofing and preventing moisture buildup that could compromise structural integrity over time. When combined with mullion reinforcement, this solution further strengthens the system, ensuring superior durability and long-term performance — a key contribution to the building’s overall sustainability.

  • Mullion’s Drainage and Ventilation

A specially designed EPDM accessory ensures efficient drainage and ventilation within the mullion system, preventing moisture buildup and mold formation. This dual-function solution enhances the long-term durability of the mullion while improving the overall performance and reliability of the façade system.

Extra features
  • Rounded Structure Solutions

The system supports full-circle constructions without the need for angular pressure plates, offering significant architectural and structural advantages. Specially designed gaskets enable column angles of up to 0.349 radians (approximately 20°), allowing for smooth, continuous curved façades that enhance both form and function.

  • Ultimate Compatibility

The FS50 façade system is designed for seamless integration with ELVIAL’s thermal insulation solutions, requiring only one additional insulation profile. This compatibility makes the FS50 an ideal choice for contemporary architectural projects that demand flexibility, performance, and aesthetic consistency.

  • Skylight Constructions

Specialized components within the FS50 system allow for precise and durable skylight configurations, ensuring structural reliability and visual harmony. These solutions deliver superior weather resistance and meet the highest architectural and performance standards.

  • Fixing onto the Concrete

Specialized internal fixing brackets are used when mullions are positioned within the structural framework rather than extending externally. This configuration ensures secure anchoring to the concrete, providing enhanced stability and alignment for internally mounted façade systems.

THE TECHNOLOGY

ELVIAL technology guarantees all the essential qualities that define true architectural value — superior thermal insulation adaptable to meet Passive House A+ standards, exceptional watertight performance, and unmatched long-term durability — all contributing to refined aesthetic excellence.

THERMAL INSULATION

Facade thermal insulation is essential for enhancing the energy efficiency, comfort, and sustainability of interiors and buildings. It helps reduce energy consumption for heating and cooling, thereby reducing energy costs and CO² emissions.

  • 01. Passive House

The ELVIAL FS50 system includes a special Passive House A+ edition, designed specifically for cool, temperate climates (comparable to Central European or Northern U.S. conditions). It fully complies with the rigorous performance standards required for certified passive buildings.

  • 02. Customized Insulating Bars

WInsulating bars are strategically placed along the mullions, transoms, and projected-out window frames to deliver high thermal efficiency. This configuration ensures that each façade system meets top-tier energy performance criteria, customized to the project’s specifications.

  • 03 ELVIAL I² Innovative Insulation Technology

ELVIAL’s I² Technology introduces an additional insulation chamber within the profile, applied across all thermally insulated systems integrated into façade constructions. This innovative layer enhances thermal resistance, improving the system’s overall energy performance (U-value) by up to 38%.

  • 04.Foam Insulating Profile

A low-density polyethylene (LDPE) foam insulating profile is installed around the glazing perimeter in all ELVIAL thermal systems. This detail effectively minimizes heat transfer through the façade assembly, reducing thermal energy loss and supporting optimal insulation performance.
